Explore Kansas' legislative updates in our latest Policy Watch:

Election legsilation update

Election bills will get hearings this upcoming week:
  • HB2504 Requires paper ballots for audits.
  • SB343 Prohibits advance ballots applications from being mailed from county election offices unless requested by a voter. (Hearing scheduled for 1/24/24 and audio will be streamed.)
  • HB2512 Stops early voting on Sunday before election. (Hearing scheduled for 1/25/24 and audio will be streamed.)
  • HB2516 Raises number of signatures for independent candidates for statewide office.
The League will be opposing SB343 and HB2512.
